Hostgator is one of the oldest web hosting providers that offer lower price hosting plans and is owned by EIG.

While close in cost, they are very far in quality of service and support. InMotion Hosting is the winner in this comparison by a mile. They have a much more secure and modern infrastructure, 24/7 phone support, and free SSL certificates included with every plan. There is no real comparison here, InMotion Hosting is much better in every way than Hostgator.

InMotion Hosting Cons

If you are transferring from another web host to InMotion Hosting, the transfer process can take some time. With so many new customers signing up each day for new website hosting, the transfer queue can get backed up.

This is why I created a tutorial video on how to speed up the process by doing the majority of it yourself, fast and easy.

Hostgator Cons

Hostgator has been around a long time and is owned by the largest website hosting conglomerate which means you can expect less than acceptable access to support and the support itself.
