LearnPress Cons

There are many concerns I have with this plugin for using it in a serious environment. If you look at the reviews people have left, there are many red flags there.

Concerns with it breaking websites, not following proper coding standards, and limited to no support.

I do question their business model and if there will be enough revenue for them to continue developement.

LearnPress Review: Wrap Up

LearnPress has the largest user base of any of the learning management systems for WordPress mainly because it is bundled with themes sold on ThemeForest.

Personally, I wouldn’t trust LearnPress for a serious website. If you are testing and learning, then sure why not. But if you are serious about having online courses on your website, you should go with a more reliable solution.

LearnPress is awesome to look at, has ZERO support and inevitably turns out to be a complete waste of money. Even at the recent bundle price it is not good value unless you are a very skilled WP/PHP coder.

    Avoid like the plague!

  2. Thanks so much, Adam for your excellent tutelage and reviews. They’ve taken over the family TV much to the consternation of my husband!

I hope that in the future you can expand on your review of LearnPress as it has a lot to offer those of us who have just a few courses and need more flexibility of design for branding purposes.

    1. I’ll take a fresh look at LearnPress next month. My biggest concern with people that choose to use LearnPress is that there is not adequate support at the price that they charge. So if you do run into issues using LearnPress it can be incredibly frustrating to not get the help that you need to get your course back online.
