I am in the process of developing a online education business that sells my real estate investment seminars to potential investors. I don't want to use Thinkific or UDemy because I want to own my website. I am hosting with inMotion. I am confused as to whether I need to buy LearnDash, LearnPress, WPLMPS, Course Builder, etc. The lines are very blurry between what is a theme and what is a plugin and which one of these solutions is the best starting place. Any help is appreciate. Thank you. Joe

Hey Joe, yes this can all be a little much at first! The easiest path forward with be using the Astra Theme with either LearnDash or LifterLMS. I personally use that combo on this website.
With something like WPLMPS, they have a proprietary learning management system baked into their theme. That is why it is confusing. I wouldn’t recommend it and have never come across anyone that had a good experience using it. -

I believe it is a superior product than its competitors but it is not for absolute newbies. I can give you a complete package to evaluate things, also will help you understand it as there is a learning curve and you may not have enough time to go through the docs. If you're interested just send me an email at the mail id [email protected]. About bad things and bloat, can you name any software which has not been called as bad by someone, we have many success stories. As a rule of thumb if it sells, it means there is a market for it.
