In your YT video “How To Setup WordPress SMTP For Sending Emails – Must Watch For All Website Owners” @ 3 min
what does it mean when you say
“you can use google to connect it into a gmail account” etc….
does that mean that all my newsletter emails are first all going over to a google server … and then being sent out to my site's visitors from that gmail account instead ??
Doesn't that mean that my autoresponder is no longer self hosted? I'm confused.
how does that impact GDPR?

Hey Tom, so that means if you choose to send outbound emails from your WordPress website using Gmail, that all emails your website send will use your gmail account.
Now when you are talking about autoresponders and all that, my video was just about WordPress sending emails. If you have some plugin on your site to mimic an autoresponder, then those emails would be using your gmail account.
But keep in mind that gmail has a 100 emails per day limit. You can't send more than 100 emails each day.
Hope that helps.
