I have a family history website and it is a closed site. I have lots of information on it that I don't want non-members to access. I use the Simple WP Membership plugin to control who can access my site.
I have found that non-members of my site can type domain name/Posts/ and see my posts. I have protected my posts using Simple WP Membership so only logged in members can see the content but non-members can still see the Posts titles. I have made all my posts Private and have allowed my Users to read private posts and this works but I would like my posts to be public so I can have the option of having some private posts. Has anyone found a way to stop non-members accessing posts?

Thanks Adam. I have had a look at those membership plugins. They are similar to what I have. I can protect pages and posts content from non-members but I can't stop them seeing the Post or Page header and any comments under those headings unless I make all posts and pages private. I then have to allow my subscribers to view posts and pages.
I want anyone who is not logged in and who enters https://domain name/Posts/ ,or who somehow guesses the url of one of my pages, to be sent to my 404 page which in my case is my login page.
I hope I am making sense.
