QuestionsLifterLMS says too many redirects
John asked 1 year ago

I’ve followed your courses on how to make a membership website. I’ve installed the child theme and all the plugins. Everything was working until recently. I discovered lifter LMS isn’t allowing my website to work. It’s white screen error that says too many redirects. Have you had that problem? Is there a quick fix?

I have never seen or experienced that problem. What makes you think it is LifterLMS causing the problem? Does it go away when you disable LifterLMS?

Usually, that problem happens when people are trying to switch from HTTP to HTTPS.

Many times it can be resolved by deleting your .htaccess file and then resaving your permalinks.

I am currently having the same issue.  I know it is LifterLMS causing the issue because when I deactivate the plugin my site works.  It only happens when you try to pull up the site in Firefox or Safari and it will not load and gives a message of \\\”This page isn\\\'t redirecting properly\\\”

This happened to me too. In my case, the solution was easy to fin. It happened when tied to make the site a membership site and choose the option `Restrict site by membership level` in the settings.\” [LifterLMS>Settings>Memberships>] Apparently it kept looping because the page I referred to in these settings was also restricted. I resolved this by opening the membership again and restricting the courses to members.
