Hello Adam. I'm working with your ecommerce tutorial on youtube. It's a fantastic resource. I'm amazed that it's free – much obliged. I'm new to this arena and I just had a quick question: if someone hacks my site can he or she get access to the credit card numbers I'm receiving, and if so can I be held liable?

This is a great question and the good news is, no credit card info is stored on your website.
When someone pays at the checkout, all the sensitive info is passed over to the payment processor, your website doesn't keep any of it.
As far as liability, I am not an attorney, but my guess is no. The only data you keep are names, addresses, and order history.
Sadly this type of data is hacked every day yet I don't see those companies being held liable.
