GP Premium – Is it necessary if using Elementor Pro?

QuestionsGP Premium – Is it necessary if using Elementor Pro?
John asked 1 year ago

This is a great site! I have never built a website before, but I'm planning to build one soon using WordPress.org. From the articles on this site and others, GeneratePress seems like a good theme to start with, especially when paired with Elementor Pro.

My question is: Do the Premium features of GP overlap with the features I will already be getting with Elementor Pro, or is it still worth considering upgrading to GP Premium?

Today my answer is yes, you will want both, there isn't any overlap.

However, over the course of the next few months, that will change because Elementor v2 will allow you to make headers, footers, archive pages, and post templates.

Adam, this sounds like a great topic for a formal review.  Have you done so?  If not, hoping you will!
Thanks.

Thanks Adam! Once Elementor V2 is released, do you recommend that we create/modify headers, footers, and blog post templates through GeneratePress or through Elementor? Will there be any impacts on a site's SEO if all these elements are created through Elementor only? ‘

thanks,
Steve

Hi Adam, thanks so much for all your wonderful information and help on this website!!! Pure gold!! I think I am going to use GeneratePress for my new theme with Elementor, would you still recommend I purchase pro for both or just one? As I can see the headers can be adjusted in both…thanks so much!

Hi Adam…My current view is that it would be better for a newbie like me to purchase the Elementor Pro version to use for the GeneratePress basic theme rather than the GeneratePress Premium theme with Elementor basic. What would be the most cost effective solution? I may have to purchase both but right now I'm using the basic version of both and feel I need more…You are terrific!
