These are both really bloated online course website themes.
They have lots of problems.
Now if you can tolerate functional issues happening (and I don't mean that sarcastically), you could choose one of these, but expect to run into issues. If you expect to run into issues, then when you do it won't be so much of a surprise.
Or maybe just get started using something that starts free like LifterLMS.
First of all, hi Adam, big fan..thanks for all the work you are putting in.
Secondly I am in a similar situation to Richie here and I am wondering how to proceed further.
I understand these themes are bloated and also I understand everything that theme does can be achieved without that theme but I guess it is going to take a lot of time. I am new to WordPress but I am not new to coding but I am running against the time here and I need the website done very very quickly which is why I am interested in the premium themes and not build from scratch.
So when you say problems, what kind of problems and lets say I don't expect a lot changes on my website once I finish setup for the first time, the only change I anticipate is may be just posting new blog content. I will probably have at most 10-15 courses and thats it. I expect 80% offline sales and 20% online sales. I just want to develop a simple site still wanting the features from the demos of Eduma.
Do you suggest going for Eduma for someone like me and is there a way to lighten the bloat and making the site faster considering I only need 10-15 courses on my site?
