I am trying to become a web designer/developer, I want to build websites in WordPress, and was hoping to use a page builder for this, as it will enable to build websites much quicker.

However one of the most important things to me is to build websites using clean Semantic code, (as I want to use examples of my work for a portfolio)
please can you advise if any of the page builders out there use HTML5 Semantic Elements when building web pages, and if so which page builder writes the cleanest code?

If not is there anyway of somehow manipulating the page builder to add in semantic elements?

    Thank you!

I don't think that you could solve this any other way even if you used custom HTML to create the page.
How would you do it if you had plain HTML code? You could not add Semantic to every element

Pretty much all page builders are going to generate more code then is really necessary in order to make it so you can have a beautiful website without hand coding. Over time their code will get better and better as they implement newer CSS standards.
