QuestionsCloudflare Free SSL still not showing after 24 hrs
John asked 1 year ago

I followed the video on YouTube to set up the cloudflare free SSL.  I don't process credit cards or anything like that on my website so I feel content that the free option is enough for now.  I changed the nameservers,  (I have GoDaddy Managed WordPress) and everything seemed fine, but it's been over 24 hours and my site still says not secure.

I've been through the support articles at cloudflare and I've looked in the help section at GoDaddy and I cant find a solution.  What did I do wrong?

It can take 24 – 48 hours for the DNS server change to go into effect. Then after that period, you will want to use the really simple SSL plugin.

Depending on what you have on your website, you may still not have the green padlock. For me, I had a form that I embedded on my site, and it was using HTTP, this caused me to not have a green padlock until I resolved it.

Also, make sure you clear your cache. GoDaddy forces caching on you.
